Not all of us are avid television watchers. However, it's impossible to deny those moments we all have when it's a movie night or when it's a rainy weekend and time to catch up on a little-watched series. Once a year celebrations are another great reason to turn on the TV. New Years is not the same without an official countdown that you can share with the rest of your country. A personal watch just isn't the same as counting down with the rest of the country and bringing in the New Year with millions of other people. Another once a year celebration such as the Emmy's, Golden Globes, and the Oscars are a reason to gather friends and family for a night with the television.
Although it sounds a little cheesy, all of these events bring you together with others and in many cases together with your country. Although you may not personally be with hundreds of millions of people, when you're watching once a year specials that attract the attention of the world you can be sure you're sharing those moments with people from all over. With satellite television you can appreciate the experience more with better channel options and better quality streaming.
